We're opening a healthy nutritious one pot cafe here where Canto Gelato once was, with hot soups, casseroles, porridge, jacket potatoes smoothies and other one pot healthy dishes with a difference... we will be supporting our homeless communities with outreach/takeaway and running a pay it forward facility for this 7 days a week. We already work alongside the Bridge Café and supply food when we can - but there's still a gap for us to fit and we love to work alongside any other groups.
Our Community Matters
We miss seeing you since the old Save It closed due to the roof leaking bad enough for the building to have a prohibition notice put on it. It’s not the first time a damaged roof has temporarily closed a food project… but hey ho, we’re coming back and running it as a newly formed CIC not for profit and charity with the fabulous three directors Lea Daisy Beven Katie and Di, and bringing Alice, Claire, and Svetlana with us 🥰 and some of our other incredible volunteers.
The Café will be open to the public and sales will be fundraising for the community work we do to help people access hot meals, and opening up Andover to more healthy breakfast and lunch takeaway choices whilst also embracing food surplus and preventing food waste with other food establishments and retailers.
NotJUST - non-profit collaboration of multiple humanitarian and waste prevention projects running since 2015 founded by Lea Beven
NotJUST are a non-profit waste prevention project and humanitarian organisation, the result of a team that have been colaborating since 2015 under various names - and recently all joined together. Our work spans many different projects and locations but is tied together with two key goals: to fight waste and empower minority and disadvantaged communities.
