*Drumroll and fanfare*
NotJUST A Store Slough is finally up and running!
In case you couldn’t tell from all the exclamation marks, this is an incredibly exciting development for our project. This is the third location we are based in and supporting, and the community here is just incredible.
Our signage is up (a massive thank you to Signs Express Slough), our website is live (a massive thank you to Kay and Alice), our community fridge is stocked (a massive thank you to our driver Phil), the shop has a steady Captain (a massive thank you to Kate), and everything’s running as it should be (a massive thank you to Lea and Di).
We have already recruited two wonderful volunteers and hired new team members – welcome to the family 🙂
From seeing the original space grow into what it is now and what we’ve achieved with our little team is just staggering and we are so, so proud.
In the first week of opening we have already been able to supply neighbouring community groups with produce from our community fridge and freezers, and have met so many amazing customers. Many of whom would return a couple days later with their friends and family.

NotJUST are a non-profit waste prevention project and humanitarian organisation, the result of a team that have been colaborating since 2015 under various names - and recently all joined together. Our work spans many different projects and locations but is tied together with two key goals: to fight waste and empower minority and disadvantaged communities.
